Privacy Policy

SpokenReel accepts one public Instagram video or Reel URL per request and uses it to produce a speech transcript.

What is processed

When you submit a URL, the server processes the URL, downloads the public media made available by Instagram, and sends the downloaded audio to the local speech recognition process running for this service. The resulting transcript is returned to your browser.

What is stored

The application code creates a temporary working directory for each request. The downloaded media and temporary files are removed when processing finishes, including after an error. The URL and transcript are not written to a database or application log by the current server code. No account is required.

What is not collected by the tool

SpokenReel does not ask for your name, password, Instagram credentials, or account registration. It does not claim access to private, deleted, or login-only posts.

Optional website analytics

When you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources, general device and location information, and tool actions such as transcription attempts, successful results, copying, and initiating a download. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes this information under its own policies.

We do not send your submitted Instagram URLs, transcript text, or raw processing error messages to Google Analytics. Page addresses are limited to the website path and campaign tags; referring addresses are limited to the source website. Analytics cookies are used only after you allow analytics. You can decline or withdraw permission using Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page. Your preference is stored on your device. The transcription tool remains available without analytics.

Future advertising

The site may display third-party advertising in the future. If advertising is added, those providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies.
